The Dorotheum is strengthening its presence in Germany: in autumn, the auction house based in Vienna will open a representative office in Hamburg.
Katharina Princess zu Sayn-Wittgenstein becomes director of the branch and managing director of Dorotheum Germany.
The historian and art historian previously managed the branches of Sotheby's in Hamburg and Munich and set up the representative office in Prague.
She was the founding director of the Mucha Museum in the Czech capital, and also worked as an art consultant and author.
