A tourist plane has crashed at Wanbrechies in the North.

At least two people have died in the tragedy according to firefighters.

The fire caused by the crash was brought under control and the Lille prosecutor's office was in charge of the investigation. 

At least two people were killed on Saturday in the accident of a tourist plane in Wambrechies (North), near Lille, we learned from the firefighters.

The plane had taken off shortly before noon from Bondues aerodrome, in the Lille metropolis, with three people on board. 

The crash occurred in Wambrechies, a town adjacent to Bondues, the aircraft falling near a parking lot behind a restaurant in an activity area.

It immediately caught fire, the fire was then brought under control by firefighters.

The Lille prosecutor's office was responsible for the investigation.
