Arrested former employee suspected of injuring a man admitted to a facility for the disabled October 28, 17:43

At a welfare facility for the disabled in Ome City, Tokyo, a 28-year-old man was arrested for tying his limbs and injuring him.

The man died the next day and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the situation in detail.

The person who was arrested was Toshiko Miyazaki (59), a former employee of Creed Oume, a welfare facility for the disabled in Ome City.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, three years ago in 2017, a 28-year-old man who had been admitted to the hospital was suspected of being injured by tying his limbs with a string and injuring him.

A man was wandering around the facility, so he took him to a vacant room and tied him up so he couldn't move.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he stated to the investigation that "I'm sure he was detained, but it was for him."

The man was found dead about 12 hours later, but the exact cause of death was unknown.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the detailed situation at that time.
