About 120 municipal agents of Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise) are participating in a strike on Monday,

They are opposed to a proposal from the mayor.

Georges Mothron (LR) indeed wants to introduce a financial penalty for agents who pose more than 15 days of sick leave in the year.

This reduction in the allowance for suggestion and expertise would not apply during the state of health emergency, said the mayor.

Beyond 15 days of sick leave, the amount paid would be reduced by one thirtieth per day of sick leave.

The agents would nevertheless be assured of keeping half of the indemnity no matter what.

Unions wind up

The project is still going badly with the CGT and FSU unions.

A decision of the mayor had already been challenged in court.

In 2017, Geroges Mothron had set up a “presenteeism bonus” set at 500 euros.

The latter was to be reduced by a quarter per day of sickness or strike.

The measure was challenged by the Versailles administrative court of appeal in August.
