Shouguang is the hometown of vegetables in China. The annual vegetable planting area is about 600,000 mu and the annual output is about 4.5 million tons.

In Lanling County, the Jiarui Vegetable Planting Cooperative, located in Xiangcheng Town, has been picking, sorting, packing, and loading vehicles since early morning.

Vegetable prices tend to stabilize downward
Zhang Licun said that the prices of vegetables in cooperatives are now slightly higher than in previous years.
The price of cucumber is 3.6 yuan/jin, cabbage is 0.5 yuan/jin, and pepper is 3.7 yuan/jin. The prices have been the same for the past ten days, with little fluctuation.
"Since November, through the monitoring of 26 kinds of vegetables with a large trading volume, the overall vegetable market prices have been running smoothly, in line with the seasonal market changes." "Short-term cold waves have little effect on vegetables, so I'm afraid of long-term rain and snow." He Xiaojie said that the price of leafy vegetables has skyrocketed due to the continuous rainy weather that began in late September and has stabilized.
"For example, the wholesale price of spinach, which has skyrocketed in the previous period, is now 2.5 yuan/jin. Leafy vegetables have a growth cycle of about one month, and they have now returned to normal supply."
Zhang Chao, Chief of the Price Management Section of the Lanling County Development and Reform Bureau, said that the vegetable market in Lanling County is currently in good order, and the price of vegetables is stable.
