Erfurt (dpa / th) - Retail stores in Erfurt can reopen from Monday - for customers who have previously booked a shopping appointment.

This is made possible by the corona incidence value, which has been below 150 for five working days, as the city administration announced on Friday.

The value indicates the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

According to the Federal Infection Protection Act, retail stores are allowed to open below the value of 150 if customers make an appointment with the business owners, submit a negative test and wear mouth and nose protection.

Erfurt had a seven-day incidence of around 91 on Friday.

This was the first time that the threshold of 100, for which the Federal Infection Protection Act provides for further relaxation - such as the opening of outdoor restaurants - was undercut.

In Weimar, among others, so-called appointment shopping has been possible for a few days.

The city also hopes for further easing with a stable incidence below 100. Jena, in turn, does not expect further opening steps until May 21 at the earliest.

In Suhl, where the incidence on Friday was given as 87, the schools will open again with limited regular operations from next Monday.

According to the city administration, teaching is then carried out in fixed groups and in an alternating model.

The kindergartens were able to open again on Friday in limited regular operation.

In Gera, the city administration is hoping for school and day-care centers to open next Friday (May 21).

To do this, the incidence must be below 165 for five consecutive working days.

If it stays that way, according to the city, the opening for Friday could be announced on Thursday.
