• Apple iPhone 14 will repeat processor

From the year 2023 it will not be necessary to buy an

iPhone

to be able to use it.

According to Bloomberg,

Apple

is preparing a subscription service that, for a monthly amount, will give users access to the latest version of the device and other company products, such as

iPad

tablets .

The service would work as a complement to other subscriptions for services that already exist, such as

Apple One

plans , but instead of providing access to apps, games or audiovisual content, what the company would offer in this case is an iPhone or an iPad to a lower monthly price than the installment purchase would entail.

The service, which does not yet have a name, could see the light of day at the end of this year, although according to Bloomberg it is more likely to do so in 2023. The objective is

to maintain the growth of the services division

, one of the divisions with the best trajectory. had in recent years in the company's accounts thanks, above all, to the commissions that the company receives for app purchases.

In a way, Apple already offers a similar experience with its interest-free installment purchase system in some countries.

This service allows you to

split the payment of an iPhone in 24 months

, but also to switch to a new version of the phone, if it exists, after one year from the start of the purchase.

The difference with this service is that the user would not be acquiring the device, only renting it through a monthly subscription.

This subscription could also be combined with other company services, such as the Apple Care

extended warranty

or the aforementioned Apple One (which includes access to

Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV +, Apple Fitness + and

iCloud

storage

).

In addition to the new subscription service, the company is also considering expanding the availability and payment options for installment purchases.

Until now the company offers them thanks to specific agreements with banks and telephone operators, but this year it could launch its own financing services for them.
