China News Service, Xi'an, August 11 (Reporter Alina) "The Flower of the Earth-Ansai Farmer Painting Exhibition from the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts" was launched in Nepal on the 11th.

This exhibition is also the second online theme exhibition of the counterpart cooperation between the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Cultural Center of Nepal after the "Qin QIN-Modern Art Exhibition of Terracotta Warriors and Horses".

  In recent years, Shaanxi Province has actively implemented the “Belt and Road” initiative and promoted cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation with countries along the “Belt and Road”.

In 2021, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will join hands with the Nepal Chinese Cultural Center to organize a series of high-quality online cultural and tourism exchange activities around Shaanxi’s historical, cultural and tourism resources, opening a cultural door to the thousand-year history of Shaanxi for the Nepalese people .

  Ansai is a famous cultural hometown on the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, China. It still retains and inherits the spirit and primitive style of ethnic folk culture thousands of years ago.

Ansai peasant painting is a folk art born in this hot land. It is in line with the regional culture of northern Shaanxi and shows the local people's love for life, admiration of nature, pursuit of ideals and desire for a better life.

  The more than 70 pieces of folk paintings exhibited in this exhibition are selected from the large collection of folk art in the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts.

After the exhibition was launched offline in the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts in 2020, it was widely acclaimed and was selected into the "2020 National Art Museum Collection Exhibition Season Activity Catalog".

  In order to better promote this folk art and let the popular cultural products go abroad, in 2021, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will cooperate with the Nepal Chinese Cultural Center to transfer this exhibition from offline to online to launch in Nepal.

  This online exhibition integrates elements of technology, art, and humanities, and is divided into four sections: “cherishing nature, human life, wondering world, and curator's talk about paintings”, focusing on the lively and lively festival scenes and splendor of Ansai, Shaanxi. The colorful folk customs allow the Nepalese people to truly feel the profoundness of this land in Shaanxi and appreciate the unique charm of Shaanxi folk art without leaving their homes.
