China News Service, July 9th. According to Japanese media reports, on the 8th, Tokyo Electric Power Company of Japan announced that on the evening of the 7th local time, the radiation value of the nuclear waste storage area in the Fukushima nuclear power plant has risen sharply.
The investigation found that two metal containers for nuclear waste in the area had leaked, and the contaminated rainwater was likely to have flowed into the sea along the river.

According to reports, TEPCO stated that nuclear-contaminated soil was piled up in the leaked metal container, which was sealed before December 2015.
However, due to the cracks on the top of the container, rainwater leaked out after entering the container.
After testing, the concentrations of radioactive substances in the rainwater in the two containers were 79,000 becquerels and 33,000 becquerels per liter, respectively.
Due to the local precipitation process on the 7th, the drainage ditch near the container has been contaminated.
Testing found that the concentration of radioactive material in the drain was 930 becquerels per liter.
It is not only the drainage ditch that is polluted. Because there is an east-west river near the polluted area, and the structure of the drainage ditch is connected to this river, reports indicate that these pollutants are likely to have flowed into the sea.
