An engineer confronts a thief who sneaked into his house in Dubai, despite his serious injuries

A 63-year-old unemployed Arab infiltrated into the villa of an Arab engineer at around three in the morning because the latter did not close its gate or its main door because he was convinced that safety prevails everywhere, according to his testimony in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, but he was surprised by the thief in the house, so he confronted him and was able He was caught despite his severe injuries, and the accused was referred to the Public Prosecution in Dubai and from there to the Criminal Court, which began his trial.

The victim said during the investigations of the Public Prosecution that he was in his house in the Al-Garhoud area when he heard a strange sound in the hall, so he went out and saw the accused. Badly injured, but he did not let him escape.

He added that he has been staying at the house for 10 years with his wife, children and mother, and he is accustomed not to close the villa door at night or even its external gate because he is convinced that safety is available everywhere.

He pointed out that the defendant was wearing a mask and gloves, most likely he sneaked through the back door because she tried to use it to escape, pointing out that he was holding a screwdriver and attacked him when he tried to catch him, but he did not let go until his wife got out of the room and called the police who threw The suspect was arrested while he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

For his part, a Dubai police witness said that the accused was drunk when the residents of the house caught him, and by asking him why he stormed the villa, he replied that he was not aware, pointing out that he had hit the victim in the face with a screwdriver he was in possession of as he was wearing a mask
