An American student commits suicide with a bullet during a remote school class

Authorities in San Joaquin County, California, USA, confirmed that an elementary school student killed himself while following a school class remotely on Wednesday morning, according to CBS.

The child committed suicide with a gun, it is not clear how he obtained it yet.

According to the local Sacramento Bay website, the child, Adan Lanus, is 11 years old.

According to the authorities, the child turned off the camera and microphone before committing suicide during the lesson.

Immediately after the accident, the child's sister found him and informed her neighbor and teacher, and the authorities were contacted.

The child died after being transferred to the hospital, as a result of being wounded by a live bullet that was fired towards the head.

Lodi School expressed its regret in a Facebook post, urging parents to communicate in case their children need support, or if they have fears that the children will react to losing their classmate in this way.
