An American painting dealer who defrauded a Saudi of $6 million was imprisoned

A US court in the state of New York has sentenced an art dealer to 7 years in prison on charges of fraudulently selling a piece of art to a Saudi person for $6 million and collecting $85 million by selling the same piece and paintings to other businessmen in America and abroad.

And the website "Sabq" quoted the "Info BIE" newspaper, that the accused, Ingo Philbrick (34), an American citizen, committed several other frauds, including selling paintings to several people, and disappearing for 6 months before he was arrested.

The report added that businessmen filed complaints against the accused after he delayed handing over their holdings and discovered that they had been sold to other people.

During the trial, the accused stated that he had close and strong relations with the wealthy, which made them trust him to a large extent, and justified his crimes that his victims were very wealthy people, and they could afford to lose that money.
