America lifts entry restrictions for vaccinated foreigners starting November 8
The White House said on Friday that, starting from November 8, it will lift travel restrictions for foreigners who have received a full vaccination against Covid-19, ending historic restrictions that prevented many in the world from entering the United States.
"This policy is strict, consistent, and dictated by the state of public health," White House spokesman Kevin Munius said on Twitter, announcing when the new rules would take effect.
The unprecedented travel restrictions have kept millions of visitors from China, Canada, Mexico, India, Brazil and many European countries and others out, slashed tourism in the country and hurt the economy of border regions.
It also prevented relatives and foreign workers from returning to live with their loved ones and families in the United States.
