It became a Swedish figurine at tonight's Emmy gala in the USA.

Alexander Skarsgård was hailed at the star-studded gala for his performance as the wife abuser Perry Wright in the series "Big Little Lies", and took home the award for best supporting actor in a miniseries or TV movie.

"One in the girl gang"

In his speech of thanks, he paid tribute to his mother, who was with the actor at the gala, and to his fellow actors in the series.

- Thank you for making this guy feel like one of the girl gang.

This was Skarsgård's very first nomination for an Emmy, an award given for the best TV performance of the year.
