Al-Sharif: Ronaldo's behavior will lead to a disciplinary punishment.. The issue has nothing to do with diet

UAE legal advisor Youssef Al Sharif confirmed that Juventus and Portuguese national team player Cristiano Ronaldo is subject to a heavy penalty after he excluded two Coca-Cola bottles during the press conference for the Hungary match that will be held this evening in the European Cup. Al-Sharif told Emirates Al-Youm: From a purely legal point of view, regardless of our appreciation and respect for both international star Ronaldo and Coca-Cola as one of the sponsoring companies for the (Euro 2020) tournament, the player’s behavior is related to the rights of sponsorship stipulated in the contracts concluded by the companies. The sponsor is with the organizers of the tournament, and one of the most important of these rights is the advertising of the products of these companies, and these rights must be adhered to by the participants in the tournament at the level of clubs, players, technical devices and others.

He continued, "Such behavior is in violation of the rules and regulations of the tournament and sponsorship contracts on the one hand, especially since it was taken by one of the players who enjoy wide international fame and is considered a role model for millions of fans and followers of football worldwide, and this behavior appeared in the eyes of all of them during a video conference and broadcast globally .

He also said: This behavior will undoubtedly affect the company's sales, so it is likely that Ronaldo will be referred to investigate this incident, and he will be subject to the European Disciplinary Committee and "FIFA", and pursued by the company demanding compensation, and the Football Association in Portugal may confront him.

He continued, "The issue has nothing to do with the diet, because what happened is related to the rights of the companies sponsoring the major tournaments."
