Al-Khatib opposes the dismissal of Mosimane .. Zamalek and Pyramids are the reason
The president of the Egyptian Al-Ahly club, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, renewed his opposition to the dismissal of South African coach Pitso Mosimane, based on the recommendation of the Planning Committee.
And Egyptian media said that Al-Khatib met with the planning committee, and opposed the idea of dismissing Musimani at the present time because of Al-Ahly’s association with the matches between Zamalek in the league and the Pyramids in the Egypt Cup, which are scheduled to be held later this month.
And MBC Egypt said, “Al-Khatib believes that there will not be enough time for the new coach to adapt to the team before these two difficult confrontations, and it is better for the South African coach to stay at this time and wait for his results against Zamalek and Pyramids, while the planning committee believes that Mosimane’s continued presence It will put pressure on the players due to the state of anger controlling the fans towards the coach after the mistakes he made in the Moroccan Wydad match and the loss of the African Champions League title.
Al-Ahly had opened channels of communication with the former coach of the Egyptian national team, the Portuguese Queiroz, to take over the technical responsibility of Al-Ahly club, along with other coaches from Spain and Germany, and it was agreed in principle with more than one coach to lead Al-Ahly.
