The Jiu-Jitsu Federation continues its preparations to organize the 12th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Championship 2020, on the grounds of the Arena, from November 17 to 21.

A press release from the federation said: “With the approaching date of the championship, the UAE jiu-jitsu champions, of various categories of weights and belts, intensify their training to enhance their skills and abilities to stand on the rug of competitions, facing the world stars participating in the tournament, on the way to winning medals and raising the UAE flag on the podium. ».

The statement reads: “The team’s star in the adult category, Faisal Al Ketbi, won the silver medal in the last edition, and this time he is looking forward to achieving the gold medal, while the rising star, Bilqis Al Hashemi, in the young women’s category, is keen to continue her progress of achievements, to follow in the footsteps of the stars. Adults who are keen to give their best ».

For his part, Faisal Al Ketbi confirmed that he would be ready to face world stars, including the Brazilian Rodson Matthews, in the hope of repaying the debt to compensate for the only loss in last year's competitions, and the American DJ Jackson, who surpassed him in the semi-final stage of the 2019 competitions.

He added, "I participate in this year's competitions with my eyes fixed on gold."

The championship activities begin with competitions for the U-18, then on November 18, the teachers' competition, and the Professional category from 19 to 21 of the same month.
