Ajax got a dream start at home against Dortmund.

Dusan Tadic swept in a free kick that went all the way into goal via Marco Reus, who was also noted for an own goal.

The home team had the upper hand in the first half, which was also reflected on the scoreboard.

After 25 minutes, Daley Blind came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving FC the lead.

2-0 was the result at the break.

Ajax continued to produce in the second half.

The Brazilian Antony feinted to the left and screwed nicely 3-0 into the far post before the hour was played.

Dortmund, with Erling Håland at the top, pressed for reduction but this evening it was the home team that scored.

After 72 minutes, Sebastien Haller made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 4-0.

Which was the end result.

The win means that Ajax now leads the group after three victories out of three possible.
