Ain Expo.. The 5000th wish of a Pakistani child in Dubai is fulfilled

In the presence of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, the "Make a Wish" Foundation achieved the 5000th security for a Pakistani child in a ceremony held at the Pakistani pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, coinciding with the UAE's celebrations of “The Year of the Fifty”, and the celebrations of “Universal Children’s Day 2021”.

The "Make a Wish" ceremony was attended by the Pakistani Ambassador to the country, Afzal Mahmood, the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, Hassan Afzal Khan, members of the Board of Trustees of the "Make a Wish" Foundation, and the CEO of the Foundation, Hani Al-Zubaidi, in addition to the participation of the child's family.

The wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif Al Nahyan, Honorary President of the Make a Wish Foundation, thanked and appreciated the Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, for her role in supporting the Foundation since its inception. In 2010, and enabling her to fulfill her noble humanitarian mission by fulfilling the wishes of children with serious illnesses that threaten their lives. She also extended her thanks and gratitude to the Pakistani ambassador, the Consul General of Pakistan, and the Pakistani pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, for their hosting and support to achieve the Foundation's 5000 wish in the "Fifty Year", which constitutes an important stage in the UAE's march of achievements at all levels, following the approach of The founder of the state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. Sheikha Sheikha said:“We are proud and honored that our celebration of the fulfillment of the 5000th wish coincides with the celebrations of our dear country of the golden jubilee of the union of our beloved Emirates, which highlights to the whole world 50 years of the Emirates’ achievements on the human level, and its ability to embrace various cultures in a society where love, tolerance and brotherhood prevail. We are also pleased to share with the world this wonderful celebration in (Expo 2020 Dubai), which brings the world together under one platform.”

For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador, Afzal Mahmoud, praised the noble humanitarian efforts of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its continuous efforts to spread happiness, hope and optimism in the hearts of sick children without discrimination of race, sect or language.
