The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, ended weeks of controversy and signed, on Friday, the renewal of his contract with Liverpool FC until 2025, to receive a salary that ranks him at the forefront of the highest paid players in the club.

According to English press reports, thanks to his new contract, Salah will receive 400,000 pounds (about 480,000 dollars) per week, almost twice the previous salary of the Egyptian star, who joined Liverpool in 2017 from Rome, Italy.

Salah has become Liverpool's highest paid player, which reflects the great role of the English Premier League's top scorer on many occasions within the club, which is seeking to compete again for titles, especially the English Premier League and the Champions League.

However, Salah did not reach the first place in the list of the highest paid players in the English Premier League, a position controlled by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, with a salary of 510,000 pounds (more than 610,000 dollars) per week.

The Egyptian star shares second place with the Belgian star of Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne, and the two players receive the same salary, according to the British newspaper "The Sun".

Behind these stars is French midfielder N'Golo Kante, who receives 290,000 pounds ($350,000) from Chelsea.
