Hussein Labib, head of the temporary committee that runs Zamalek, detonated a heavy-caliber surprise with his decision to escalate the famous case, "The Real Century Club" in the African continent, stressing that his administration will address the African Union officially to demand the honorary title granted by "Kef" to its rival Al-Ahly, although Zamalek was the most Crowning the African Champions League in the last century.
Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper quoted Labib that Zamalek will address the African Union and the competent authorities internally to adopt the slogan of the most crowning in the twentieth century, as it is more deserving of the title of the Century Club, as he put it.
The move by Zamalek and the Hussein Labib committee comes as the first official move to escalate against Al-Ahly and to move legally enough to restore Zamalek’s right.
Labib's statement comes at a time when Al-Ahly is preparing for the final match of the African Champions League, in which it is looking for the tenth title when it faces the South African Kaizer tomorrow, Saturday (23:00 UAE time).
