After losing the league .. Ittihad Jeddah signs Portuguese coach Santo

Al Ittihad Jeddah Club, runners-up to the Saudi Football League, announced on Monday that it has signed Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo as the coach of the first team.

The Federation announced the signing of the Portuguese coach through its official account on "Twitter", and said, "The Portuguese Nuno Santo is the coach of the Federation."

The Portuguese coach has a distinguished biography through his leadership of many European clubs, led by Valencia, Spain, Porto, Wolverhampton and Tottenham, the two Englishmen.

The Federation had thanked Romanian coach Cosmin Contra, announcing the end of his relationship with the club, and an hour later announced his contract with Santo.

The union wrote on its official Twitter account: "Thank you, Kuzmin."

Al-Ittihad took the decision to dispense with the Romanian coach after losing the league title in the final stages of the competition in favor of Al-Hilal.

Al-Ittihad topped the league two stages before the end of the season when Al-Hilal grabbed it and maintained its title.

Contra led Al Ittihad in 29 matches, winning 19, drawing 5 and losing 5 matches.

On the other hand, Al-Fateh Club announced the contract of Spanish defender Fran Felice until 2024.

Al-Fateh said through his official account on Twitter: "They welcomed the new Fatahawi," without revealing the financial value of the deal.

Felice had previously played for many Spanish clubs, including Jimnastic, Tarragona, Almeria and Union Deportiva Logronis

and Veles is the second opener after the first with the Swedish international goalkeeper Jacob Rene (28 years), from Aalborg, Denmark.
