Despite a terrible accident, Gabrielle Dareau is determined to walk again and fights to regain her independence. On July 9, this resident of Mirande, in the Gers, and owner of the Happy Horse Training center in Bazian, was working on her tractor, with her daughter, soon to be 4 years old. Following a maneuver to bring in hay for his horses, the tractor overturned, claiming the life of his little girl.

Victim of a broken neck, Gabrielle, 40, is now paralyzed. Since the tragedy, she has already made progress in regaining her autonomy to breathe and eat. Convinced that she will be able to walk again one day and get back on horseback, her family has launched an online fundraiser to raise the necessary funds to pay for hospital costs and possible medical interventions.

Recover the use of his legs

“She has already made enormous progress and is gradually regaining the use of her arms and hands, so we believe that she will be able to continue her career as a professional rider,” says Camille, Gabrielle's sister. The medical establishment where she is currently treated does not have a physiotherapist, which is why we want her to integrate the Korian Marienia clinic, where she could recover the use of her legs thanks to better equipment. The funds raised will also be used to take care of her thirteen horses, until she can possibly take care of them again ”.

A little more than 10,000 euros have already been collected thanks to the pot launched by his family two weeks ago, out of the expected 25,000.
