Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The AfD parliamentary group in the state parliament wants to overturn the obligation to test at schools in Brandenburg with a lawsuit before the state constitutional court.

The error rate in the rapid tests is too high and this could lead to new school closings, said their education policy spokesman Dennis Hohloch on Tuesday.

In addition, the measure represents a great burden for the children and adolescents. Therefore, the AfD parliamentary group wants to complain against this test obligation with an urgent application before the constitutional court.

In March, the state constitutional court had rejected an urgent application by the AfD parliamentary group against the access restrictions and hygiene rules for the Brandenburg retail trade.

In Brandenburg, from next Monday onwards, students must present a negative self-test twice a week before classroom lessons.

Otherwise there is a ban on entering the school and the pupils have to go to distance learning.
