The Traffic Department in Al Ain, affiliated with the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, has implemented awareness for the fans of Al Ain and Sharjah Sports Club about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations and not obstructing traffic, before the final match of the 2022 sports season.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association, was briefed on the digital awareness of compliance with traffic laws and rules, which was distributed by the Al Ain Traffic Department to sports fans, including the goals of the traffic campaign on the safe use of bicycles "scooters".

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the efforts of the Abu Tabbi Police in educating the fans during the matches to abide by the traffic laws and regulations that enhance their safety and avoid traffic accidents.

Colonel Matar Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of the Traffic Department of Al Ain Region, affirmed the Abu Tabbi Police's interest in constantly intensifying awareness campaigns and initiatives, especially during the period of sporting events and matches, to raise the level of awareness among the public in order to preserve their safety.

He added that Abu Tabbi Police is focusing during the current period on educating people in residential neighborhoods and all segments of society about the dangers of using electric bicycles known as scooters, especially among children and school students, and the need for parents to monitor their children and not to use these bicycles in non-designated places in order to avoid accidents. Bicycles may cause obstruction to traffic, as well as spoiling the road for emergency vehicles, and the danger of crowding at accident sites and traffic safety for electric bike users.

Major Khaled Al-Azizi, Director of Public Relations at the Al Ain Traffic Department, and the work team had distributed digital awareness brochures to the public and educate them about the dangers of using scooters, especially children and adolescents, without parental supervision.

Al-Ain Traffic presented an awareness video between the two halves of the optimal and safe use of this type of electric scooter, which is frequently used among children and adolescents, urging them to adhere to and enhance safety.

The video was also shown in the match analysis studio, educating viewers on the correct use of electric bicycles.
