Abu Dhabi launches "Winter Shopping Season"
Abu Dhabi Offers, the retail platform of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, has revealed its plans to launch its winter campaign "Abu Dhabi Shopping Season", after the great success of the promotional campaign in the summer season.
This campaign is part of the winter season initiative, "Celebrate the Winter", launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi to encourage all members of the local community in the UAE to take advantage of these discounts and offers to spend their winter holidays in the emirate's hotels and enjoy the tourism activities in them.
The Abu Dhabi Shopping Season, which starts from December 10 and continues over a period of 3 months until February 14, 2021, is the latest edition of the Abu Dhabi Winter Season campaign.
This season will include valuable discounts and promotions, especially during the holidays, across all major stores in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions, as well as launching new product collections and exclusive shopping experiences in the world of fashion, beauty and lifestyle in Abu Dhabi.
The Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, said: “The summer season has achieved great success thanks to the distinguished partnerships between the public and private sectors, which have resulted in record sales and recorded a growth of 31% compared to last year. The Abu Dhabi shopping season is part of the 'Celebrate Winter' campaign, which includes a number of initiatives that the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi seeks to provide the country’s residents with the opportunity to enjoy the winter holidays by providing exclusive discounts on accommodation offers. All parties participating in the campaign are committed to applying the highest standards of the global Go Safe certification program for safety and hygiene in hotels, malls, restaurants, recreational parks and public places in Abu Dhabi.
Safety measures include testing to detect COVID-19 for workers in the retail sector, as well as measuring the temperature of shoppers at entry points, and implementing social distancing rules in malls, stores, cafes and restaurants, in addition to regular cleaning and sterilization operations for all participating outlets.
