Cairo Airport today implemented the recommendation of the Supreme Committee to manage the "Corona Virus Crisis" to abolish the quarantine of Egyptians returning from abroad on exceptional trips organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

An official source at Cairo International Airport confirmed that the airport has already started implementing the recommendation to cancel the quarantine on approximately 450 stuck passengers who arrived on 3 exceptional trips from Beirut, according to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

The source said that the returnees from abroad were subjected to the tests of the "Corona" virus inside the arrival hall, and they did not show any symptoms or suspicion of being infected with the Corona virus, and therefore they were allowed to leave the airport to spend the period of isolation in their homes.

The source added that those suspected of being infected with the Coruna virus during their detection in arrival halls upon their return from abroad will be immediately isolated in hospitals.
