A wild boar beat turned into a drama this Thursday in Haute-Savoie.

A hunter shot and wounded a walker who was on a path on the edge of the Vallières-sur-Fier cemetery, around 2 p.m.

Hit by a stray bullet, the 29-year-old victim was seriously injured, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.

The Samu 74 and the firefighters were dispatched to the scene to help him.

It was taken by helicopter to the Annecy Genevois hospital center.

According to France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the young man had his chest perforated, but his life is not in danger.

The hunter in custody

An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of this hunting accident.

The Rumilly brigade community is in charge of the investigations.

The Annecy prosecutor's office was also seized.

The author of the shot was taken into police custody.

The other hunters and witnesses must be heard.

According to our colleagues, this is the second hunting accident since the beginning of the month in the Pays de Savoie.

On October 9, while walking on the ViaRhôna in La Balme (Savoie), a 30-year-old woman received a bullet shrapnel in her foot.
