This Friday morning, a "virulent garage fire" of a villa located in Antibes, in the Alpes-Maritimes, caused a victim, indicated to

20 Minutes,

the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) 06.

On the spot, the firefighters, alerted around 7:30 a.m. by thick black smoke, were informed "that a person was missing".

After several reconnaissances in the house, they discovered "the lifeless body of a woman" in the garage ravaged by the fire.

The fire is now extinguished.

The two other residents of the dwelling evacuated the premises before the arrival of help.

"Their state of health did not require transport to the hospital," said Sdis.

An investigation is open to determine the causes of the fire.
