A national police peacekeeper was sentenced by the court in La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var) to six months in prison with a suspended probation, reports

The facts date back to May 6, 2021. On that day, this peacekeeper violently attacked a pedestrian on the grounds that he was in his way in his car traffic, then to a woman who witnessed the scene.

Restricted to administrative tasks because of alcohol

This police officer had been disarmed in 2019 and limited to administrative tasks due to an addiction to alcohol, specifies the daily.

He is currently on sick leave.



The police officer was also ordered to compensate the pedestrian up to 500 euros and 200 euros for the woman who intervened.
