The CRITT M2A research and development center inaugurated its new test center for electric batteries on Monday in Bruay-la Buissière, in Pas-de-Calais.
This high-tech equipment represents an investment of 17 million euros.
Its new multimachine bench, the power of which is unique in Europe, should in particular make it possible to test an entire vehicle, regardless of its engine, thermal, electric or hybrid.
And this up to Formula 1 and Formula E.
Adapted to the electric revolution of vehicles
Created in 2009 to support the development of turbo engines, the center has adapted to the electric revolution in vehicles.
It is now relying on collaboration with the two neighboring battery-making giga-factories, located in Douvrin and Douai.
The other ambition of the site is to work on the reuse of automotive batteries in second life uses, requiring less effort, such as soft mobility or storage.
