29th of last month, the Inspection Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office took over the public cell phone kept by the Supreme Prosecutor's Office spokesman Seo In-seon.

This cell phone was also used by Prosecutors Kwon Soon-jeong and Lee Chang-su, who served as spokespersons for the Supreme Prosecutors' Office during the days of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.

The Supreme Prosecutor's Office said that it had obtained the cell phone used by the spokesperson to confirm the allegations of indictment and the documents related to the case of former President Yoon's mother-in-law.

A search and seizure warrant was not issued during this process.

There are also claims that the Inspection Department overtly demanded the submission of mobile phones, but the Inspection Department denied that there was such a fact.

However, on the 5th, it was revealed that the Airborne Service, which is investigating the allegation of indictment, seized and searched the Supreme Prosecutor's Inspection Department, and received these cell phone forensic data.

It has been pointed out that the Ministry of Air Transport, which is investigating the allegation of indictment over this process, may have cooperated with the Supreme Prosecutor's Inspection Department in advance to secure the phone number of the Supreme Prosecutor's spokesperson.

In response, the Ministry of Airlift and Security refuted that the claim that the data was expediently handed over from the Supreme Prosecutor's Inspection Department was groundless, while the mobile phone information was confiscated through due process.

Separately, there are also criticisms that the prosecution and the investigative agencies of the Ministry of Airlift and Public Service both look into the public mobile phone, which is the communication medium between the media and the spokesperson, itself results in monitoring the media's reporting activities.

Former spokesman Kwon Soon-jung also criticized the need for a convincing explanation, saying, "Isn't he trying to inspect the overall relationship with the media?"
