A program that helps citizen entrepreneurs to market their products by benefiting from the Korean experience

Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, affirmed that the UAE, since its establishment, has placed investment in human capital at the forefront of its strategic priorities, as it works continuously to develop its capabilities and talents, to build promising national competencies and qualify them to be able to lead the development process. The future and the development of the system of national policies and legislation to the highest international levels.

This came during the launching ceremony of the training program for building national specialized competencies for financing small and medium enterprises and government procurement (KSP) in cooperation between the UAE and South Korea, which comes within the framework of the agreement signed between the UAE Ministry of Economy and the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance in September last year.

A statement issued today stated that the six-month intensive training program is an important opportunity for all the national participants to make the most of the Korean experience in marketing their products and innovations in the local and foreign markets, and to transfer knowledge on how to overcome the challenges facing the entrepreneurship sector and small and medium enterprises. At the global level, as well as identifying the sector’s success stories in cooperation with government agencies in Korea and the ways that contributed to overcoming these challenges by providing the necessary support and facilities, including allocating quotas from government procurement to enable companies to achieve the economic growth they aspire to.

The program aims to enhance the competitiveness of the SME sector and entrepreneurship by creating possibilities that accelerate financing mechanisms and develop a new model for financing small and medium enterprises.

The program will enable more than 15 male and female citizens representing 12 federal and local entities concerned with the entrepreneurship sector, small and medium enterprises and government procurement, to reach common recommendations that are commensurate with the business environment in the country by benefiting from the Korean experience.
