A positive case of coronavirus was recorded at the end of last week on the Glénan archipelago, off Finistère. A large test operation was therefore launched from Sunday to prevent the epidemic from spreading to these islands, which are popular with tourists. About 200 tests should be carried out.
According to France 3 Brittany, it would be a relative of one of the restaurateurs of the archipelago who would have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19 on his return to the continent. The prefecture of Finistère and the Regional Health Agency have organized a screening operation which concerns in particular the staff of catering establishments but will be offered to all residents of the island and its visitors.
Firefighters who had been in contact with the patient were also tested and repatriated to the continent.
