A 90-year-old man was found shot dead on Saturday morning at his home in Tilloy-lès-Mofflaines (Pas-de-Calais) in a "difficult end of life context", according to a judicial source. His 87-year-old wife, who could be the author of the shot, was hospitalized at the end of the day on Saturday and had not yet been able to be heard by investigators, reported the Arras prosecutor's office.
According to a letter found at their home, it was "a common project". According to the prosecution, the investigation will have to determine whether it is a "suicide or an assisted suicide". The victim, who was suffering from cancer, was hospitalized at home and it was a nurse who sounded the alert when arriving at their home, according to La Voix du Nord and France Bleu Nord.
