An altercation between a cyclist and a motorist almost went very badly on Friday evening in the Saint-Jean train station district of Bordeaux.

After a finger of honor from first to second, the driver of the car drove into the cyclist to knock him over voluntarily, reports

Sud Ouest.

The latter had both wrists broken and was prescribed 30 days of total incapacity for work (ITT).

The motorist, a 34-year-old man, tried to flee before being finally arrested at his home in Talence in the Bordeaux suburbs a few hours later.

He was immediately taken into custody by law enforcement.

This Sunday, he was brought before the prosecution.
