A man was discovered dead in a street in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, killed by several stab wounds in the night from Saturday to Sunday, we learned from a source close to the investigation and from a police source.

The man, born in 1989, was discovered by two passers-by, bloody and leaning against a wall, around 4 a.m. in the Marais district, according to these sources.

Alerted, the firefighters could only note his death.

The first observations made on the spot revealed that the victim had received several blows from a knife to the chest, a source familiar with the matter added.

The investigation was entrusted to the Criminal Brigade.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning at the forensic institute.
