The investigators have just marked an important point in the fight against drugs in Nancy. A network of drug traffickers was dismantled earlier this week in the suburbs of the city, leading to the indictment of eleven people.

Discovery of 19 kg of heroin

According to information given Friday by the prosecution, Tuesday morning, in Essey-lès-Nancy, the investigators surprised at work men busy cutting and repackaging drugs. During this operation, which mobilized significant staff, including the Regional Intervention Group (Gir) of Metz, 19 kg of heroin, 36 kg of "cutting" products, 2 kg of cocaine, 3 kg of grass, weapons and 93,700 euros in cash were seized.

The eleven men arrested, aged 20 to 40 and living in the Nancy metropolitan area, were charged and ten of them were placed in pre-trial detention. Heavier charges weigh on one of them, indicted for import of narcotic products in an organized gang.
