A horrific scene... The moment a ship splits in two at sea (video)

A video clip documented a terrifying scene of a ship wrecked in the South China Sea, due to a violent tropical storm, causing the ship to split in two, and 27 people missing, off Hong Kong.

Authorities said a full crew of more than 20 people was missing and not found, after the ship was split in half in the waters off Hong Kong as Tropical Storm Chapa passed.

In turn, the government's aviation service announced the rescue of 3 crew members of the ship, which was carrying 30 people, and said that search and rescue operations were continuing 300 kilometers southwest of the city, explaining that some crew members had left the ship and that severe weather conditions were hampering rescue efforts.

A Hong Kong government statement said that according to the three survivors, other crew members may have been swept away by the waves before the first helicopter arrived.

Typhoon Chaba started in the middle of the South China Sea and made landfall Saturday afternoon in Guangdong Province in southern China.
