A three-and-a-half-year-old child was hospitalized in very serious condition late Sunday afternoon after drowning in Bordeaux-Lac.

Around 5:15 p.m., he was taken out of the water by a swimmer before being taken care of by the Gironde firefighters.

The latter managed to resuscitate him on the beach after a few minutes.

⚠️ Swimming not recommended this weekend on the Gironde coast outside supervised areas, due to particularly dangerous weather conditions.
