The gendarmes of Finistère launched a call for witnesses on social networks after a traffic accident in Coray on Sunday.

At around 10:20 a.m., a cyclist was struck from behind, on the road to Langolen, by a motorist who fled, said France Bleu.

In the shock, the car lost a right mirror, the military said.

Another car stops and starts again

After this collision, another vehicle arriving from Coray stopped in place and three people got out to collect the debris from the mirror.

But they left immediately, without coming to the aid of the victim from Morbihan and a witness who was already assisting him.

Investigators hope that the person responsible for the accident will surrender himself to the authorities.

In the meantime, they ask any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
