A 27-year-old man is suspected of having strangled his partner in an apartment in a social residence located in Coignières (Yvelines), on Tuesday.

In the accommodation, officers discovered the lifeless body of a 31-year-old woman.

According to a source interviewed by our colleagues, the victim showed signs of strangulation and wounds on the face.

Already arrested for domestic violence

The body was transported to the forensic institute of Garches (Hauts-de-Seine) for an autopsy.

The victim's companion was arrested and taken into custody.
