The situation continues to be alarming in the Gloriande nursing home cluster in Séverac d'Aveyron where a new resident has died.
This brings the death toll from Covid-19 at this facility to 17.
The deceased resident was "at the end of his life," said Monday the head of the Regional Health Agency in Aveyron, Benjamin Arnal.
A reinforced system
In early September, symptoms of the disease appeared in several residents and employees and the tests, carried out the following days, had revealed a massive infection.
Only sixteen occupants, among the 75 of the establishment, were not infected with the coronavirus.
Most of them were placed in a “protected unit” and caregivers from the region came to reinforce the Gloriande nursing home system.
