On the 25th in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, a 94-year-old man was found lying down at home and died on suspicion of heat stroke.

According to Saitama Prefecture and the fire department, a family found a 94-year-old man unconscious on his bed in a house in Kawagoe City before 6 pm on the 25th.



The man was taken to the hospital on suspicion of heat stroke, but was confirmed dead.



In the room where the man was lying down, the windows were open and the fans were spinning, but there was no cooler.



In Saitama Prefecture, it was a hot day at multiple points, such as observing 39.2 degrees in Hatoyama Town on the 25th, and the heat has already exceeded 35 degrees on the 26th.



According to Saitama Prefecture, on the 25th, 135 people were transported by emergency on suspicion of heat stroke, and about half of them were elderly people aged 65 and over.



Saitama Prefecture is calling for people to take measures against heat stroke, such as using air conditioners well and not forgetting to rehydrate, and avoiding hot days and hours when going out.
