Last week, a survey of 1,807 college students conducted by the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily and wenjuan.com showed that future employment prospects and the reputation of colleges and universities are the most valued by the interviewed college students.
57.3% of the interviewed college students are struggling to choose a popular major or an interest major.

Chen Zhiwen, the editor-in-chief of China Education Online and an academic member of the China Education Development Strategy Society, believes that candidates need to consider the actual market demand when filling in their voluntary applications. According to the survey, 57.3% of the interviewed college candidates were struggling to choose a popular major or a major of interest, 53.2% of the interviewed college students were struggling to choose a weak major in a famous school or an ace major in a general school, and 51.0% of the interviewed college students were struggling to read the second book in a big city.
