China News Service, January 29. According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) report, on the morning of the 29th local time, a serial car accident occurred in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, resulting in 8 injuries, including children.

  According to reports, the incident occurred in downtown Tokyo. The accident was caused by a vehicle waiting for a signal being rear-ended by a rear car, which eventually led to a series of collisions between about 7 to 8 trucks and commercial vehicles.

  Eight people, including children, were injured in the accident, the local fire department said.

The injured have been taken to the hospital, and all are conscious, but the exact extent of the injury is not yet known.

  According to reports, the accident caused road closures in parts of the local area for about 2 hours.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
