Yesterday, the Al-Badel tennis tournament started with the participation of 700 male and female athletes within the activities of the eighth edition of the "Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament" that is held annually in the blessed month of Ramadan, and its competitions will continue until April 29, according to the precautionary measures and approved protocols for all competitions.
The tournament’s organizing committee said, in a statement, yesterday: “The tournament’s competitions began yesterday at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex with the holding of Al Badal Tennis competitions, which is one of the fastest spread sports in the country and has been linked to the Nad Al Sheba tournament since its first edition. The first day of the session witnessed the holding of the bronze and gold competitions. For men, amid safety measures for the participants, the organizing committee and the media, and the competitions continue today ».
She added, “A corona examination was conducted for everyone, and proof of a negative result was presented before entering the competition hall, and the Baddel Tennis Championship is held this year in accordance with the regulations in force in the UAE Exchange Tennis Federation according to the new classification of local tournaments recently adopted by the federation, and the tournament includes four categories. It is the gold category for men, and two bronze classes for men and women, and the international category.
The statement pointed out that «the eighth edition of the session is sponsored by a number of national and international governmental and private departments and institutions, within the framework of the cooperation of the organizing committee of the session with various institutions in order to achieve the vision of wise leadership by making sport a way of life, and awareness of these institutions of the importance of the session as the most important sporting event. During the month of Ramadan, and its great role in encouraging all segments of society to practice sports during the month of Ramadan, to preserve the health and safety of all members of society of various nationalities.

And residents from the age of 18 years and over, and the categories are open to men, open to women, amateur citizens only, amateurs for female citizens only, and people of determination who are citizens and residents.
