There were 4,460 cases, or 66% of the domestic confirmed cases, in the metropolitan area, and 2,383 cases were confirmed in Gyeonggi Province alone.



The government announced that the first 7,000 new confirmed cases as a standard for immediate transition to Omicron's response stage exceeded expectations by four days earlier than expected. I see it.



The government is planning to change the system gradually over the next one to two weeks, but as the detection rate of Omicron has risen to 47.1%, it has decided to introduce a new test and treatment system first, starting with the dominant regions.



From four locations in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Pyeongtaek, and Anseong, 43 regional respiratory clinics will be put into testing and treatment.



The nationwide expansion will be decided in consideration of the results of the new system operation and the Omicron epidemic situation.



The number of patients with severe gastritis increased by two from the previous day to 433.
