The implementation of "double reduction" has put forward higher requirements for school education.

In order to improve the quality and efficiency of classroom teaching, and to promote and enhance after-school services, primary and secondary schools in various regions are constantly adjusting and "upgrading."

Last week, a survey of 2,006 parents of primary and secondary school students conducted by the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily and the questionnaire network (wenjuan.com) showed that since the "double reduction", 58.1% of the parents of primary and secondary school students surveyed felt the total amount of homework. and duration are effectively controlled.

The son of Zhao Zhixun from Harbin, Heilongjiang is in the second year of junior high school.

He realized that the child's homework is less than before.

"It turned out that I had to continue to do homework when I got home at 8:40 in the evening after the evening self-study. Now I don't need it. The children have already finished their homework at school, and only some need to be done on weekends."

He felt that the school has seriously implemented the "double reduction" policy, "Academic results will no longer be disclosed. The school pays more attention to the physical quality of students than before. Every morning exercise and the morning exercise after the second class in the morning urge students to be serious. Participate in, and the physical education program will be enriched."

Zhong Juan, a third-year student from a middle school in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, said that the rankings of students are no longer published.

Arrive at school later in the morning than before, you can sleep well.

It turned out that the school had voluntary evening self-study, but it was also cancelled after the "double reduction".

But because of the upcoming graduation, the amount of homework has not decreased.

Yu Qiu is the fourth grade head teacher of a primary school in Longhui County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province.

She said that after the "double reduction", her work has changed a lot.

"'Double reduction' is to reduce students' heavy homework burden and off-campus training burden. At present, after-school services are implemented in primary schools, and two class hours have been added to the original basis. One class hour is to guide students to complete homework, and the other class hour is to train students Interests and hobbies can help students develop in an all-round way. The content of the two class hours requires teachers’ careful design and lesson preparation in advance, and prepare a variety of after-school content to meet the needs of different children in a targeted manner.”

Li Liguo, deputy dean of the School of Education of Renmin University of China, said that the "double reduction" put forward higher requirements for teachers.

On the one hand, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching, and strive to let students master the knowledge points taught in the classroom.

On the other hand, after-school homework pays more attention to the quality and suitability of students' development in order to achieve teaching goals and meet the needs of students' development.

"Students' autonomous learning ability is very important, and teachers should cultivate students' ability to receive basic knowledge in the classroom".

Yu Qiu introduced that the children's workload has been greatly reduced now.

"Students in the first and second grades do not have written homework, and the written homework in the third and fourth grades does not exceed 1 hour. After-school homework is completed at school, and the time when they return home is entirely their own."

She said that now the school will take mental health education classes every week, instead of relying only on grades, the teaching work pays more attention to the all-round development of students' morality, intelligence, body, beauty and labor.

"Only one final exam is organized each semester, and there are no weekly, monthly or unit exams. Exam results are graded and not announced or disseminated in the parent group to reduce the anxiety of parents and students."

As a college teacher, Cheng Ming strongly agrees that academic achievement is not the only theory.

"It used to be that the test results would be published directly on the school bulletin board, and now parents need to ask about it. I think it's good. This can make more children and parents realize that academic performance is not the only measure. Even if the results are not good enough, children cannot be denied. performance in other respects."

Talking about the after-school services that schools have intensified since the "double reduction", Li Liguo pointed out that teachers should focus on improving students' autonomous learning ability and improving students' ability and level of knowledge.

"We must also pay attention to the quality of after-school homework. Abandon the repetitive mechanical training in the past, focus on cultivating students' thinking habits, and make inferences from one example. I think this is the key to after-school service."

Since the "Double Reduction", in what areas has the school significantly improved?

The data shows that, firstly, the total amount and duration of homework have been effectively controlled (58.1%), and secondly, the quality of classroom teaching has been greatly improved (52.7%).
