It was revealed that former special prosecutor Park Young-soo (lawyer) transferred 500 million won to the Hwacheon Daeyu account at the beginning of the Daejang-dong development project.

It is known that the prosecution is checking for what purpose this money was used in Hwacheon Daeyu.

According to the legal community today (20th), the special investigation team of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Team Leader Kim Tae-hoon, 4th Deputy Chief Prosecutor) discovered that Park transferred 500 million won to Hwacheon Daeyu in April 2015 during the investigation process.

At that time, Hwacheon Daeyu was selected as the preferred negotiator for the Daejang-dong project.

It is also known that there was a conversation related to this in a transcript between Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, and Jeong Young-hak, an accountant.

In a transcript dated April 4, 2020, released by the Hankook Ilbo, Mr. Kim mentions that "the money that came in when we formed our corporation was also the money that came in through the chief prosecutor Park Young-soo."

Prosecutors are known to have confirmed that 500 million won was handed over to Hwacheon Daewoo under the pretext of investigating former special prosecutor Park.

In response, the former special prosecutor Park issued a statement saying, "500 million won is the money Man-bae Kim borrowed from Lee Ki-seong as the initial operating capital of Hwacheon Daeyu." It was transferred through a lawyer's account," he explained.

Park's explanation is that 500 million won was transferred from the account of Lee Ki-seong, a real estate agent in Daejang-dong and close to Park, and transferred to Hwacheon Daeyu.

The former special prosecutor Park added, "After that, I have no idea how the money transaction was settled, such as where the money was used or the settlement problem between the two people, and I was not involved in it, and it has already been explained (at the prosecution)."

Former Special Prosecutor Park was included in the list of '5 billion clubs' suspected of receiving money and valuables from developers in Daejang-dong, and has been investigated twice by the prosecution.

Kim, who received 500 million won from former special prosecutor Park, expressed regret that the transcripts were reported in detail every day.

Kim's lawyer said, "The authenticity of the transcript is questionable, and the disclosure of evidence that has not been verified during the trial process through the media seriously infringes on the defendant's right to defend, which is guaranteed under the Constitution." Even the content that turns out to be false is being reported as if it were true, so the damage is serious.”
